AI answer readiness checker

Whether a page is shaped to be quoted in an AI answer. Free and no account. Nothing leaves your browser.

120 words. Nothing is uploaded; the analysis runs here.

Structurally ready to be quoted

These are structural checks. They cannot tell you whether your answer is right or whether an assistant trusts your domain — only whether a passage worth quoting could physically be lifted from this page.

Answers up front Good

The opening sentence is 4 words and can be lifted whole.

Headings phrased as questions Good

3 of 3 headings read as a question someone would type.

Scannable blocks Good

3 list items — discrete, quotable units.

Paragraphs stay liftable Good

No paragraph runs past 120 words.

Passages stand alone Good

No backward references that break when a passage is quoted out of context.

Specific enough to cite Good

5 figures. Concrete numbers are what make one source worth naming over another.

There is no score out of 100 here on purpose. Nobody knows the weighting an assistant applies, and a number would imply a precision these checks do not have. Fix what is listed; ignore anyone selling you a percentage.

What it tells you

  • Checks the opening claim

Whether a standalone answer exists in the first sentence, which is what extractive answering lifts.

  • Finds broken references

"As mentioned above" is invisible damage: quoted out of context, the passage points at nothing.

  • Looks for quotable structure

Question headings, lists and tables are the units an assistant can take whole.

  • No score out of 100

Nobody knows the weighting, so inventing a percentage would be making it up.

How to use it

  1. 1Paste the pageMarkdown headings and lists are understood. Nothing is uploaded.
  2. 2Fix what is listed as red firstBroken back-references and missing headings do the most damage per word changed.
  3. 3Re-checkThe analysis reruns as you edit, so you can see a rewrite land.

Questions people ask

Will this get me cited by ChatGPT?

No tool can promise that, and this one does not try. Whether an assistant cites you depends mostly on whether your page is the best answer and whether the source is trusted, neither of which is measurable from the text alone. What is measurable is whether a passage worth quoting could physically be lifted from the page. That is a necessary condition, not a sufficient one.

Why is there no score?

Because a number implies a precision these checks do not have. The weighting an assistant applies is not public and changes without notice. A list of specific things to change is honest; "87/100 AI optimised" is a marketing number dressed as a measurement.

What actually makes a passage quotable?

Four properties. It stands alone, with no reference to something earlier on the page. It states the answer directly rather than building to it. It sits under a heading matching the question someone would ask. And it contains something specific, a number or a name, that makes your version worth citing over an identical paraphrase elsewhere.

Is this the same as AEO or GEO?

It is one mechanical piece of it. AEO and GEO as terms cover everything from schema to brand mentions to being quoted on sites the model already trusts. Page structure is the part you fully control and the cheapest to fix, which is why it is worth doing first, but it is not the whole discipline.
