Ghost integration with kiterank

We publish into it

Ghost has an Admin API built for this. The key you paste never leaves us. It splits in two, and the secret half signs a short-lived token that travels in its place.

What it does

  • Arrives as a draft

We create posts as drafts. Nothing reaches your readers before you have read it.

  • The secret is never sent

A Ghost Admin key is an id and a secret. The secret signs a JWT that expires in five minutes, and the JWT is what travels.

  • It catches the common mistake

Ghost shows a Content API key on the same screen as the Admin key, and pasting the wrong one is the usual setup failure. The server recognises it by shape and tells you, rather than returning an opaque 401.

How to set it up

  1. 1In Ghost, open Settings, then Integrations, and add a custom integration.
  2. 2Copy the Admin API key. Not the Content API key beside it.
  3. 3In kiterank, open Connections, choose Ghost, and paste your site URL and the key.
  4. 4Publish a test article and confirm it appears in your drafts.
