For a site you build yourself, publishing is a file in a folder. Two small modules go in your repo, pull whatever is finished, and write it out as markdown. The build you already run picks the articles up like anything else you wrote.

What it does

• Two files, nothing installed

  A signed API client and a sync script. No npm packages, and nothing added to your dependency tree.

• Markdown into your content folder

  Articles land as files. Your existing build, your existing components and your existing styles handle them from there.

• The key stays server side

  It is read from the environment and never prefixed for the browser bundle, so it cannot be shipped to a visitor by accident.

How to set it up

1. 1In kiterank, open Connections and add a plugin destination. Copy the connection key.
2. 2Copy the two .mjs files into your repo. A scripts folder is fine.
3. 3Set the key in your environment, server side only.
4. 4Run the sync script, then commit or deploy as you normally would.
